Hitting it big from the lottery is everyone’s dream, and most people will never realize that dream. This man played and he thought he had a pretty good prize: $75. At least, that’s what the clerk at the gas station thought. It turned out, though, that the man had actually won $75,000, which can be life-changing money. The clerk realized his mistake long after the man was gone, so his search has begun. There’s a chance the winner will never know the mistake, which is unfortunate. To make it worse, the man has six months to claim his winnings or the ticket will expire.
UPDATE: It turns out that the winner was an undercover lottery official who was just testing to make sure lottery guidelines are being followed. An investigation is now underway to find out if the clerk made an honest mistake or if it was an attempt to get the money.
