During their show in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday night, the Rolling Stones rolled out a song they hadn’t played in almost 50 years. And it wasn’t even one of theirs.
It was “Hang On Sloopy”, which was a number one hit for The McCoys in 1965. The Stones covered it for a while in 1966, before retiring it.
But it happens to be the official state rock song of Ohio, so that was a good opportunity to dust it off.
