Kenyan Man Debuts His Homemade Plane On Live TV (Video)

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. We’ve all heard it before, but this Kenyan man takes the old adage very seriously.

After twelve failed attempts, 47 year old Gabriel Nderitu was trying to fly his homemade plane-like invention a thirteenth time. Needless to say, with friends and cameras watching, his invention rode up a homemade wooden ramp and soared for all of two seconds before plummeting to the ground in a nose dive.

This man, with a DEGREE IN PHYSICS, is still failing to do what the Wright brothers accomplished over a century ago. He’s currently seeking the assistance of the Ministry of Roads and Infrastructure to use an actual airstrip to improve take-off (because that’s why it won’t stay in the air??)

Best of luck in your endeavor, Gabriel – fourteenth time’s the charm!
