Well folks, we’re now at a point where your car can be hacked. And it can be hacked while you’re driving without you even knowing it.
A couple of hackers have been working over the last couple of years to hack vehicles through in-dash entertainment systems over the internet or over a cell network. Once they’re in, they’re in. They can control nearly everything in the vehicle from changing the radio station to controlling the brakes and steering!
Watch below as these guys take control of a Jeep Cherokee, driven by a journalist from Wired, as he cruises down the highway at 70MPH. While they said they wouldn’t do anything that would put the driver in danger, it sure seems like they didn’t stick to that…because one scenario in particular seemed very, VERY dangerous.
