Some Highlights From Stephen Colbert’s First ‘Late Show’ (Videos)

After being off for about 9 months, Stephen Colbert hosted his first Late Show last night, and there were some awesome moments.

The show started with a montage of Colbert in various locations, with random people, singing the National Anthem.  The clip ended on a baseball field, where it started.  The umpire took off his mask, and yelled “Play ball!”  The umpire: Jon Stewart.

After his monologue, Colbert took a moment to thank David Letterman.  He made a joke about Biff Henderson, who was Letterman’s stage manager.  Then he thanked Dave, and said he was a first generation Letterman fan.

There was also a bit where Colbert was flipping through the channels on his new video screen, and he came up on The Tonight Show.  Then he and Jimmy Fallon had a little conversation about each other’s guests for the night.  They wrapped it up with Jimmy telling Stephen he’d see him in the late-night locker room.  And, at the very end of the show, they did just that.

And, since George Clooney didn’t have a movie to promote during his interview, they made one up.  It was an action-thriller called Decision Strike, and they even showed three clips.

Check out all of the clips below!
