Stephen Colbert’s first Late Show aired on Tuesday night, but on Wednesday during his monologue, Colbert said that the show almost didn’t air at all!
He said they ran a little long with the taping, and they took a while to edit it down. But the computers kept crashing when they tried to send it to the network. So at 11:20 P.M. no one could tell him whether or not the show would go on the air.
Luckily, it made it. But just barely.
