Man’s Car Frozen In A Solid Block Of Ice After Parking It Right Next To Lake Erie (Video)

Not driving after a night of drinking is the safe and smart thing to do. However, if you drive before the drinking, you might want to think about where you park your car to be left overnight. Justin Yelen, a 24-year-old from New York, chose to leave his 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer outside a restaurant along the Lake Erie shore. That night, freezing temperatures and 47 mph winds caused the car to freeze over, in a severe way. The ice covering the car is a few inches thick and would take more than just an ice scraper to make it drivable.

Not having his car has not gotten Justin Yelen down though. The video shows him being very lighthearted about it. Perhaps its because video of his car made its why on to local and national news and has been viewed over 10 million times.

UPDATE: ABC News has reported that a local car dealership was able to free the vehicle and tow it away on a flatbed truck.  It is now “thawing out” at the dealership!
