Martin Luther King Jr. Day was on Monday, and in a town near Dallas, along with many other cities around the country, a parade was held to celebrate. A news station was covering it and had the field reporter interview someone who arrived to the parade early. When asked why he showed up so early, he gave an answer, but he didn’t really say anything.
One can realize that he thinks it’s important to be there, but that’s really all. He knows that MLK’s birthday is in January, he thinks it’s “really good” to be at the parade and he thinks it’s important. But that is all.
Getting an interview that could go viral is a field reporter’s dream. Here’s the lesson learned here: If you want to find a stupid person who will give you a really awkward interview, find the guy who shows up early to a parade.
