Eight-Year-Old Boy With Gun Holds Up West Palm Beach Grocery Store (Video)

Well, it seems that crime knows no age. This past Wednesday in West Palm Beach, FL an eight-year-old boy, whose mother thought he was going to the park to play with friends, was actually up to some mischief. His mother realized something was wrong when she noticed that her handgun was missing from her purse.

The boy rode his bike to a grocery store, walked in and down an aisle to the checkout counter, pulled out the handgun and pointed it at the cashier.  He then said, “Give me the money.” Another employee saw what was happening, twisted the boy’s wrist, wrestled the handgun away from him and called police. An employee told the news that the gun was loaded, but there was no bullet in the chamber.

The judge decided that the state would not pursue charges, but the boy has to enter a diversion program and has to stay away from that grocery store. Whether or not the mother will face charges for leaving the gun unsecured is yet to be decided.
