Cop Helps Deliver Baby After Pulling Over A Couple For Speeding (Video)

Danny and Shawna Lowe, a Limestone County, Alabama couple, were speeding to the hospital on Sunday morning because Shawna had just gone into labor.  While trucking down U.S. 72, the couple was pulled over, but Danny knew that there was no time to waste.  So he hopped out of the car, ran up to State Trooper Kesler and let him know the situation they were in.

By the time Danny and the trooper got back to the car, Shawna was already starting to deliver the baby.  Danny held the baby, while Trooper Kesler went to his car to call for an ambulance and get some blankets for the baby.  He then coordinated between the family and their doctor and accompanied them to the hospital.  As if that wasn’t enough, he then went out and bought them flowers and cupcakes, along with some other “starter” items for the new parents.

The family says that they intend and hope that Trooper Kesler remains a part of their life moving forward, since he had such a key role in the delivery of their 6 pound 10 ounce son Barrett.
