Florida definitely leads the country in stupid crimes, so it’s hard to call any particular incident a pure “Florida crime.” But if we HAD to, this might be it.
24-year-old Joshua James went to a Wendy’s drive-thru in Loxahatchee, Florida at around 1:20 A.M. back on October 11th. For some reason the story only came out now. When the woman inside opened up the window to give him his drink, Joshua threw a LIVE, THREE-FOOT ALLIGATOR inside. Apparently he’d found it on the side of the road on his way to Wendy’s, and picked it up. His parents eventually told the cops it was a prank because he was friends with one of the employees.
But the cops didn’t care if it was a prank or not. He was charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and he was arrested earlier this week. No one was hurt by the gator in the Wendy’s, and some wildlife officials wound up releasing it into a canal.
