A high school teacher from Union County, South Carolina has resigned from her job after nude photos of her were passed around by students. “Mechatronics” teacher Leigh Anne Arthur states that she didn’t think to delete the risqué pictures she had taken for her husband on Valentines Day, not occurring to her that it would be an issue.
A Union County High School student looked through Arthur’s phone without her knowledge and, as could be expected of a 16-year-old boy, upon finding the pictures, he took pictures of them with his phone. The school states that it was Arthur’s fault the pictures were circulated, as she left her phone accessible to students, and that the student is not at fault for distributing them to his friends.
In this day and age, it would be hoped that a responsible adult, especially one that works with hormone-ridden teenagers, would not keep those type of pictures on their phone…or at least put a password lock on it. Take a look at her explanation in the video below.
