When you were a kid, did you ever sneak out and take your parents’ car for a joyride? Maybe you drove around the block or over to a friends’ house and back when your parents weren’t around. The 11-year-old kid in this story just took that to a whole new level!
The 11-year-old boy from Dodge Center, MN stole a cement truck from a contractor on Sunday and led police on a high-speed (for a cement truck) chase that lasted about an hour. During the chase, he reached speeds between 65 and 70 miles per hour, eventually pulling off the highway and getting blocked in on a dead-end street. He then hopped out of the truck and attempted to run, where he was quickly apprehended by police.
The 11-year-old boy is now being held in a juvenile detention center pending charges.
