Now Is Your Chance To Own The Fort Worth Beer Can House! (Video)

There’s a house in Fort Worth, TX simply referred to as the “beer can house.”  It’s one of those places that’s kinda neat to drive by once to see, but you wouldn’t want to live anywhere near this place.

The beer can house is the home and ongoing project of 68-year-old Louis Torres.  Torres is retired and now spends his days drinking beer and then turning the empty beer cans into some sort of decoration for the outside of his house.  He slices up the cans and strings them up in what can only be described as the white-trashiest decorative display known to man.  A few years ago, the city made him take down all of the cans, but he was soon allowed to start decorating again.

Estimates are that there are approximately 3,000 cans hanging from his house, fence and the surrounding trees.  And every single one of the cans is either a Miller Lite or Milwaukee’s Best.

Torres’ house is the only one remaining on the block, do to a ton of redevelopment going on in the area.  And now, that house is for sale!  So if you have the cash, you could own this absolute pile of garbage.  But Louis wants everyone to rest assured that even though he’s moving to a new house, the beer can house will live again!  His new neighbors are probably thrilled to hear that.
