Have you ever just said, “Screw it!” while on the job? Ever been so fed up that you just went out in a blaze of glory? That’s exactly what this United Airlines employee did the other day while the plane she was on was sitting at the gate at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.
For reasons still unknown to everyone, the flight attendant opened the emergency door, deployed the evacuation slide and slid down. Once on the ground, she grabbed her bag and was on her way! Representatives for the employee, who not surprisingly is no longer employed by United, said that her actions were caused by a “private family matter” and that she’s doing well.
The plane was immediately taken out of service so the repairs could be made, which United said will cost thousands of dollars.
