‘Tis the season for potholes to jump out at you from absolutely nowhere, making you spill your coffee or even damage your car! It’s quite frankly the most enjoyable part of summer driving ever! Well, a man from Jackson, Mississippi was finally fed up with a pothole that was in his neighborhood. Said pothole had been there for a year and this guy took matters into his own hands…kind of. He put a huge “Happy Birthday” sign along with a balloon on top of the pothole!
The local news in Jackson did what they do best and investigated in search of results. They basically just interviewed the guy and called the Road Commission. That’s the first news story! The second news story definitely delivered results, depending on your definition of “results.” The problem was taken care of to a certain extent and the pothole was just filled with dirt for the time being. That’s just being lazy if you ask us!
No one knows if the pothole will ever be fixed correctly, but maybe we’ll know around this time next year if the pothole happens to celebrate another birthday.
