If you risk it and illegally park your car, you should be prepared to deal with the consequences. For instance, you’ll probably end up with a ticket or, worse case scenario, your car will be towed and impounded. But what if you’re LEGALLY parked and someone still decides to mess with your ride? That’s just not cool.
A guy in Brooklyn had legally parked his SUV on the side of the road. However, the construction crew that was working at the site across the street decided that they needed a little more room for one reason or another. Instead of attempting to find out who the vehicle belonged to, they instead picked the thing up with a forklift and moved it out of the way! The forklift dropped the SUV about three feet up on to the sidewalk, right against a tree. Damage was caused to the bumpers, as well as the undercarriage of the vehicle.
Luckily for the owner of the SUV, a neighbor recorded the entire incident and the construction company is now saying that he will be compensated for the damage. Is that good enough in your opinion?
