Man Poses As Millionaire, Steals A Home All To Impress His Girlfriend (Video)

Let’s be honest.  Everyone has probably done something dumb to impress a new girlfriend/boyfriend at one time or another, right?  Of course you have!  But you probably haven’t gone to the lengths that this Indianapolis man did!

Back in early April, 48-year-old Gregory D. Harris attempted to buy a home that his girlfriend found for sale that she really liked.  So he made an offer, signed all of the documents and moved in to the place!  The only problem is that he didn’t actually do that at all.  Sure, he made the offer, but there were higher offers.  So as to not upset his girlfriend, he simply went to the house, took down the For Sale sign, cut the lock box off the door and moved in!  When confronted by realtors who were attempting to show the home, he even produced falsified documents saying he was the owner.

Well, things haven’t worked out well for Gregory.  He’s been living quite a lie since his new girlfriend came into his life in January.  According to police officers who questioned her, Harris told her that he was a millionaire and that he had purchased the home on the up and up.  He also told her that he had bought her a BMW SUV, but that wasn’t true either.  The vehicle was actually stolen.  Shocker!

Harris, not surprisingly, now faces burglary and theft charges.
