Man Facebook Live Streams His Standoff With Police (Video)

Tampa police were attempting to apprehend 30-year-old Adam Mayo for a mental health evaluation last week, but he was determined to not go down without a fight.  So instead of turning himself in, he instead barricaded himself in his Florida home, grabbed a gun and started a standoff with the police.  But his bad decisions didn’t end there!  He also pulled out his phone, opened the Facebook app and started to livestream the whole ordeal.  He urged viewers to call 911 as police lobbed tear gas into the home.

Unfortunately for Mayo, his whole plan was flawed, because police officers were also watching the live stream and were able to determine that he had a weapon.  So they brought in the SWAT team.  Mayo fired at them, but they ended things pretty quickly.  He eventually surrendered.

Mayo was not criminally charged, but he’ll be getting that mental evaluation after all!
