It’s always cool to hear musicians do covers of other musicians’ music. But it’s even cooler to see them do very different versions of their own music. Well, that happened recently, and the difference between the original and the new version is insane!
At a charity event in San Francisco on Sunday, James Hetfield did an acoustic version of Metallica’s “Motorbreath,” from their 1983 Kill ‘Em All album. Check out the cover and the original below. The accoustic version almost sounds like a country song!
