High School Under Fire For Video Of Students Jumping Rope With Cat Intestine (Video)

A high school in California is taking some heat after a video has gone viral from an anatomy class at the school.  In the video below, you see what appears to be students jumping rope in a classroom.  So what’s the big deal?  Well, that “rope” is not a rope at all.  It’s actually the intestines of a cat.

The sophomore anatomy class had dissected the cat and then, the teacher allegedly encouraged the students to jump rope with the intestines to show how long they were.  Obviously, some people are really upset about this, including PETA, who is urging the school to replace “crude and cruel animal dissection with humane and effective non-animal teaching methods.

The school has issued a statement, saying that neither the teacher or the students will be punished in any way for the incident, but the manner of teaching this lesson will be updated a bit.
