The news story below is a perfect example of punishing the wrong person for something that you believe is unfair.
This jerk in Texas got a speeding ticket for going nine miles per hour over the speed limit. However, he didn’t think that it was fair, because, as he said, “I didn’t hurt anybody. I didn’t endanger anybody’s life.” Now, the rest of us know that just because you didn’t hurt anybody, it doesn’t mean that you can just drive as fast as you want. But not this d**khead. He thinks that he can do whatever he wants!
His fine was originally $79, but this genius decided to try and fight it in court. Spoiler alert: he lost! And his fine after court costs was upped to $220. So he decided to really take a stand and pay his fine in all pennies. He walked into the municipal building with two five-gallon buckets filled with pennies and just dumped them on the desk of some poor woman who was just there to do her job. It took employees about three hours to clean up the mess and get the coins counted.
It turns out that he actually overpaid by about eight bucks, but he told the authorities that they could keep the change. This guy is just a complete, insufferable douche. Whatever you do, don’t just take responsibility for something that you did!
