If you’re anything like us, you just can’t help being a sarcastic piece of crap most of the time. It almost becomes a second language, so we can kind of understand why this tennis player lost his cool a bit and started openly mocking the ridiculous grunts his opponent kept making. We get it, you’re hitting the ball as hard and fast as possible, and it takes a lot of effort. But that’s no reason to make sounds like a dying cow…and that comparison is being kind.
But what happened afterwards kind of blows. The umpire took away the mocker’s point for being a bit of a tool, claiming his behavior was against the rules. Seeing as tennis is normally a pretty conflict-free game, we’re not exactly surprised about the whole ordeal, but that’s still some tough luck.
