Mississippi Teen Opts To Sing On A Street Corner Instead Of Serving Jail Time (Video)

Alternative punishments seem to be all the rage these days, from little kids to scorned partners, all the way up to legitimate law enforcement. That was the choice Mississippi teenager Rodney Hall had to make after failing a drug test while on probation for a DUI.

Instead of going to jail for two days, Rodney decided to take the other option the judge offered him, which involved writing and singing an original song and perform it at a busy intersection in town. The 19-year-old stated that he learned his lesson, and will not smoke again because the thought of going to jail freaks him out.  So it would appear that he learned his lesson!
