The world is full of dumb criminals. People trying to shoplift large items, scammers going after the wrong victims, or in this case, a man trying to abduct a 13-year-old girl in broad daylight. The suspect in this obviously well-thought-out crime is Craig Bonello, who looks just about as creepy as his name sounds.
Bonello took notice of the young girl when he was shopping, and you can see him move in to steal her away on the multiple security cameras in the store. The mom immediately leaps to action, leading to a game of teenager tug-of-war. After fighting back for a while, Bonello gives up and runs away. And he might have gotten away with it, if he hadn’t run straight into an off-duty officer out in the store’s parking lot. Talk about karma!!
