A motorist in Manhattan managed to flee the cops recently, which you can see in the insane video below. First, the driver backs into a police car and lurches on to the sidewalk. The officers open fire, taking several shots at the vehicle before it drives off and slams into several other cars. The police stop firing, presumably because the SUV was sharing a line of fire with innocent bystanders, and it manages to slip away at high speed.
