Man Ticketed After Removing His Seatbelt To Give Homeless Man Money (Video)

As the saying goes, “No good deed goes unpunished.” At least that’s what happened to one man when he handed over $3 to someone he thought was a homeless man.

Dane Rusk was driving away from a mall in Regina when he came across what looked to be a homeless man at an intersection. Feeling like he hadn’t spent enough money at the mall and feeling generous, he decided to give $3 to the homeless man. However, Rusk made one fatal flaw in his act of charity: he took his seatbelt off.

As it would turn out, this homeless man was an undercover police officer looking out for driving violators. Upon taking his seatbelt off, Rusk was met with a $175 ticket.  Sadly, he came out $178 lighter in his wallet from his act of charity. So the next time you find a homeless man at an intersection, be cautious on what your act of charity may lead to!
