Good news for skateboard enthusiasts in Calgary, and one skater is SUPER STOKED! The ban on backyard ramps is being lifted, allowing skaters to build modest ramps upon which to practice doing sick jumps and tricks.
This revision of law doesn’t come without some restrictions, however. Ramps must be limited in size, and skating must be over and done with by 10:00 PM at private residences. Regardless, the new regulations will allow many skaters the freedom to play in their own backyards instead of fighting for real estate at the local skate park.
