When there are 30 baseball teams in a league and each one plays 162 games, weird things are bound to happen!
During a Diamondbacks/Giants game over the weekend, Giants pitcher Jake Peavy was arguing a call with the third base umpire, in which the ump called what appeared to be a strike a ball. During the brief argument, Peavy looked back to catcher Buster Posey just long enough for Posey to fire the ball back to him, but not long enough to actually see that the ball was on its way. Luckily for Peavy, Posey has insane accuracy and managed to bounce the ball off the preoccupied Peavy’s chest and right into his glove!
That’s something you don’t see every day!
