Donald Trump Got Stuck In An Elevator, Blamed The Democrat Fire Marshal (Video)

Donald Trumpwas late to his rally in Colorado Springs on Friday because he got stuck in an elevator with nine other people at the Mining Exchange hotel.  The local fire department rescued them by opening to top elevator hatch and lowering a ladder down so everyone could climb out.

The owner of the hotel says the elevator did not malfunction.  Apparently, they gave Trump’s people a key so they could control it themselves, but they messed something up and it triggered a safety feature that immobilized the elevator.

When Trump finally showed up at the rally, he started with a long rant about the same fire department, but he didn’t mention anything about the elevator.  He was upset because the fire marshal was stopping his supporters from coming into the auditorium.  The room’s capacity was 1,500 people, with 1,000 more in an overflow room next door with a TV showing the speech.

Trump said, “This is why our country doesn’t work.  We have plenty of space here.  We have thousands of beautiful, wonderful, great people outside and the reason they won’t let them in is because they don’t know what the hell they’re doing.  Too bad.  What a disgraceful situation.

He brought up the fire marshal several times, and at the end of the speech said, “He’s probably a Democrat, probably a guy that doesn’t get it.

So under a Trump presidency, fire marshals would allow rooms to be filled beyond capacity!  So we have that to look forward to.

The fire marshal later gave an interview to the local news, and he said, “There are people who aren’t very happy with some of the rules and regulations we’re required to enforce, but [Trump’s comment] doesn’t bother me at all.

He didn’t say whether or not he was a Democrat.
