Every day, Sally Dawly leaves her house with a broom in one hand and a clicker in the other. Her mission? To rid Auburn of the scourge of littered cigarette butts. She claims she’s picked up over half a million cigarette butts. Motivated by her love of the city, she claims she just wants to see it a little bit cleaner.
Local businesses and residents generally appreciate her volunteer service. A local shoe store has even provided her with free athletic shoes to aid her in her goal. She claims all the walking has helped her shed 30 pounds too. Talk about a win-win!
