Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan were both on Good Morning America yesterday, but not at the same time. Meg was outside in Times Square promoting her movie Ithaca, while Tom was in the studio doing an interview about his movieSully. So Tom joked about how they could have had a reunion but missed out.
Hanks then went on to tell a funny story about the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant right across from the studio. It turns out that building used to be his bank before he was famous and he used to cash unemployment checks there! But then years later, it became a restaurant based on his movie.
