You know those books filled with a list of crazy old laws that still exist? The ones that are not really meant to be enforced anymore? This should be one of those laws.
A Florida woman received a $114 ticket for having a license plate cover that obstructed part of the “www.MyFlorida.com” text on the top of the plate. That’s right, the obstruction was over the states website, not her actual license plate number. Most people are probably in violation of this right now and don’t even realize it!
The cover that is causing the problem was actually issued by the dealership where she purchased the car, which means all of the cars sold in the last few years are likely to be in violation as well. Hopefully someone with some sense will throw the ticket out for this woman and get rid of this ridiculous law.
