After watching this video, you won’t believe how lucky this pilot is to be alive.
Over the weekend, an F1 racing plane called “Hot Stuff” was performing with a few other planes. Hot Stuff’s pilot was unable to get the plane fired up and running correctly, so he raised his canopy to signal that he was having issues. Unfortunately, though, not everyone got the message and the race somehow started. This left Hot Stuff and the pilot sitting in the middle of the runway, while the other planes got up to speed for takeoff.
In the video below, you can see exactly where this led. A plane further back in the pack ran right into the back of Hot Stuff, missing cutting off the pilot’s head by INCHES. Miraculously, the only injuries suffered were to his hand, which was also clipped by the other plane’s wing.
