A mother in Payson, Utah was in the checkout line at Walmart when she started to have some stomach discomfort, most likely due to being extremely pregnant. But what she thought was just some discomfort was actually her body going into labor! The mother, on her knees at the checkout, actually insisted on paying for her items, despite the employees saying there was really no need and calling 911.
“By the time the EMT’s got there she had paid for her merchandise and had a baby,” said the store manager.
Walmart has been keeping in contact with the family, saying that they are doing well. And they are planning on putting a gift together for them, one that they absolutely won’t let the woman pay for.
Now we can only wonder what the baby’s name will be…or the its nickname, once people find out he/she was born in a Walmart. Walmart has already renamed register 11 to “register baby,” which is really stupid. Now it’s your move, Walmart womb escaper.
