If you make the decision to run from the police, you have to stay committed. You have to cancel the rest of your plans for the evening and stay focused on your escape. You cannot stop for a quick bite to eat while on the run from the law. There’s virtually no chance that it’s going to work out for you. Case and point, Josh Adkins of Arizona.
During a police chase, Josh pulled into a In-N-Out burger and ordered at the squawk box. He didn’t even get the food, though, so what was the point? He sped off and continued the chase for another 10 minutes or so before being apprehended in someone’s back yard.
We’re not sure exactly what his strategy was here, but it clearly wasn’t going to work out in his favor.
