Just because you’re married to a police officer, it doesn’t mean that you get away with crimes…especially really stupid crimes.
A few weeks ago, a couple in Millbury, Massachusetts woke up to their home being robbed…or so they said. Money and jewelry was stolen and their house was even vandalized with graffiti that read, “BLM,” a reference to the Black Lives Matter movement. At first glance, it would appear as though the officer’s home was targeted by members of the movement, but things just didn’t add up. And after a rather short investigation, the police concluded that the officer’s wife had made everything up as a ploy to generate sympathy. They also said that she acted alone and that the officer was not involved in the whole ordeal.
The woman has been charged with filing a false police report and misleading a police investigation and is due in court at a later date.
