It’s weird to think that normal people are behind the voices that we heard everyday. Siri is voiced by a random voiceover actor. And in this story, we’re taking you back to the days of when getting an email was like getting an actual gift. The man behind the voice of the classic America Online saying, “You’ve got mail!” is now an Uber driver in Ohio.
His name is Elwood Edwards. And he was recently captured on video while driving someone around, saying the famous exciting email notifications. The passenger of the car was super excited when she met the very ordinary and real voice behind the message. Long story short, everyone misses hearing that voice when they get an email. Are we wrong? Or were you one of those people that got thousands of emails a day and got tired of hearing his voice?
