This man faces a $9,000 fine just for wanting to have a little fun with some sausage and a drone. The drone pilot, who wants to be referred to simply as “Tim,” decided to fly a drone to pick up a sausage from a place called Bunnings in Australia, then deliver it to his friend who was in a hot tub. The video shows the drone flying in what appeared to be illegal zones and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority is having none of it! Tim says the video is edited to appear that it all is flying in one big sweep, but that wasn’t the case.
Tim has since started a GoFundMe-style page to raise the money to pay the fines from the viral video and has hopefully learned that sometimes a sausage party just isn’t worth it.
