The saying “practice what you preach” fits into a lot of situations, but this instance may be the best. A zookeeper in charge of tending to the lions was entertaining an audience recently. The keeper had a large metal pole and it looks like he was trying to close a gate by sticking it through a fence. While doing this, the lion came charging out of the pen and leapt at the keeper. Luckily, there another fence separating the two and he was fine.
The funniest part of the whole video was that right before the lion charged at him, he said to the audience, “When you’re playing with lions, it’s important to never show fear.” He screamed in fear, dropped the pole and ran away! Some of the spectators think that it was all staged while others say it was definitely real. Talk about getting your money’s worth!
