On December 13th around 12:45 a.m., police were dispatched to 2525 W Main Street for a report of an intoxicated subject attempting to fight with other people. On arrival, police located the man, identified as 45-year-old Clinton Wilder of Rapid City. He was helped into a patrol car and transported to detox. After arrival at detox, he was asked to get out of the patrol car. As the officer was attempting to help him out of the patrol car, Wilder kicked the officer twice. The officer was able to get him out of the patrol car and attempted to place him in handcuffs. Wilder continued to physically struggle and another officer was called to the location to assist. With the help of assisting officers, Wilder was placed in handcuffs. A bag of marijuana was located in his pocket, and he was eventually placed under arrest for Simple Assault on Law Enforcement and Possession of Marijuana.
