On December 12th around 10:30 p.m., police observed a vehicle make a wide right turn from Omaha Street to head southbound on East Blvd. The officer observed the vehicle travel into the northbound left-turn lane of East Blvd before stopping in the roadway. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and it turned into the parking log of 35 Omaha Street. Police made contact with the driver, identified as 46-year-old David Brickhouse of Rapid City. Police noted that he appeared disoriented with slurred speech. A subsequent DUI investigation determined he was under the influence of an inhalant. He was placed under arrest for DUI 4th, Careless Driving, and Ingesting. A pre-tow inventory of the vehicle turned up an empty can of ‘dust-off’ in the backseat of the vehicle.
