Weapons Call

On December 14th around 9:00 p.m., police responded to 1845 N. Haines Avenue for a report of a suspicious male subject causing a disturbance at the address. It was also reported he was in possession of an axe and a machete. On arrival, police made contact with store management who informed police that staff members had convinced the man to hand over his weapons, but the man was now in one of the store’s restrooms. Police made contact with the man, identified as 30-year-old Lamoine McCloskey of Rapid City, as he exited the restroom. The responding officer noted that he was displaying erratic behavior consistent with illegal drug use. A search of McCloskey’s person turned up several syringes. McCloskey was placed under arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A subsequent urinalysis tested positive for Methamphetamine and THC. He was additionally arrested for Ingestion of a Controlled Substance.
