On December 20th at around 8:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of Jackson Boulevard and Mountain View Road for a traffic accident. Police talked to the witness who informed police they were stopped at the intersection when a van rear-ended their vehicle. The driver of the van fed the scene after the victim called police. At around 8:20 p.m., police located the suspect van stuck along Hills View Drive. Police made contact with the drive and noted the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. The Driver was identified as 39-year-old Jeffrey Stracqualursi of Rapid City. After the subsequent DUI investigation, Jeffrey was placed under arrest for DUI and Failure to Report an Accident. He was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
