Crash

On December 22nd around 11:50 a.m., police responded to 316 E. Boulevard for a report of a crash that had just occurred. On arrival, police located a Chevy Impala that had struck another vehicle in the parking lot before striking the building at the address. After initially giving police a false name, the driver of the Impala was identified as 34-year-old Jeremy Vance of Rapid City. Vance had an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest for Impersonation to Deceive Law Enforcement and the Warrant. A tow truck was called for the vehicle. A pre-tow inventory of the vehicle turned up a glass pipe which field tested positive for methamphetamine, digital scales, baggies containing a substance field-testing positive for methamphetamine, and a concealed shotgun with ammunition. Vance was additionally arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Concealed Dangerous Weapon with intent to do Felony, No Driver’s License, and No Proof of Insurance.
