A ‘Jerry Maguire Video Store’ Opens In California (Video)

This video “store,” which is more of a weird art installation, has a fascination with one specific movie: 1996’s Tom Cruise classic, Jerry Maguire. The Echo Park, California store and the brains behind the operation, Anna Bihari and Dimitri Sinakis, have collected about 14,000 copies of the movie on VHS. As aesthetically pleasing as the store is, none of the VHSs are for sale, as they are being saved for the next big Jerry project: a pyramid out in the desert. “We want to give the Jerrys a forever home,” said Bihari.

Now, everyone has a favorite movie, but this is definitely strange and slightly creepy. Do you think these two will ever find love? Is this an episode of Taboo where they are actually in love with the VHS tapes?

You know, we’ve been told before that we don’t know art (like the time there was a giant pile of sandbags was sitting in our building lobby for a month), so we guess this one is meant to go over our heads.
