Cell Phone Store Employees Stage A Fake Robbery, Get Busted (Video)

If you’re going to stage a robbery, you should probably do a better job of it than this pair of terrible criminals in Memphis.

Last Tuesday morning, 36-year-old Javory Jones walked into a Cricket Wireless store in Memphis where 24-year-old Crystal Robinson, an employee, just happened to be carrying a cash bag with $9,000 inside through the store.  Jones pulled a gun, causing Robinson to drop the bag of cash, which he then picked up and fled the scene.

After taking a look at the footage, police thought that everything looked a bit too…convenient.  And staged.  And it turns out that they were right.  Jones and Robinson actually know each other.  They used to work together at Applebees and staged this “robbery” as a way to score some quick cash.  But since they’re bad at acting, they were busted.

Both are now facing a bunch of charges including aggravated robbery.
