Stabbing

On February 2nd at around 7:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of MacArthur Street for a report of a stabbing that had just occurred. On arrival, police located two male subjects standing over a third male subject who was on the ground. The subject on the ground was asked if he was stabbed and he indicated that he wasn’t. Police placed the two upright subjects, identified as 29-year-old Hobert Marshall of Box Elder and 24-year-old Mikele Warner of Black Hawk, in handcuffs while officers worked to investigate the incident. At one point, the subject on the ground got up and began cussing and taking a fighting stance at officers. After multiple commands to get back on the ground, the man continued to act aggressive toward law enforcement. He was pepper-sprayed and handcuffed. At this point police called for a medical unit to respond, and officers discovered a small puncture wound on the man’s abdomen. The man was transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. On further investigation, police determined the incident began when Marshall and Warner began arguing with the stabbing victim in a vehicle. The three got out of the vehicle and began fighting. Warner held the victim down while Marshall stabbed the victim with a screwdriver. Marshall and Warner were placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault.
