You’d think that we’d be past the times where a guy is referred to as “gay” because he’s wearing something pink. Apparently not.
The other day, while reporting on the big snowstorm that hit the east coast, a reporter for Fox 29 in Philadelphia noticed that the male anchor back in the studio was wearing a pink sweater. Since this reporter is obviously a big, macho man and most likely a former high school bully, he decided to whip out some very dated gay joke material from back in the day. He instructed the anchor to put his hands on his hips and shoulders in such a way that he’d strike a stereotypical “gay pose.” Nice.
Not surprisingly, the reporter has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism on social media, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up out of a job because of his sweet material.
