A new sculpture in downtown Lakeland, Florida is causing all sorts of controversy. It’s a massive leg lamp sculpture, reminiscent of the leg lamp from the movie A Christmas Story. And man, this thing has a town divided!
The sculpture is one of about ten that have popped up on Lemon Avenue in downtown Lakeland. Some love it and some hate it. People think that it objectifies women. Some say it’s inappropriate for kids. And some just think it’s ugly.
And that’s it. There’s no real explanation as to why the sculpture is there. We don’t know if it’s permanent or not. All we have is some man-on-the-street interviews with a bunch of idiots. Good job, news team!
